“Digital Photo Editing Using Photoshop Elements

Intermediate Level”.

- Welcome to the web page dedicated to this new WEA course  -

Stop Press: PSE v8 reduced from £76 to £57 at Amazon UK until Aug 16th 2010

Digital cameras and the ability to manipulate the electronic images they produce are dramatically impacting photography today. This course aims to help those with some existing knowledge of digital image manipulation/editing to get the best from their digital images by manipulating and combining images in many different, interesting and creative ways using the market leading software - Adobe's Photoshop Elements [v 6 - 8].

This intermediate course is intended as a 'continuation' course for those who have previously attended the tutor's 'introductory' level courses, but should also be suitable for those with a basic understanding and familiarity with Adobe's Photoshop Elements.

The course will concentrate on the more powerful and creative capabilities of the software and we will not be intending to cover the use of the 'Organiser' application or the more basic editing features. We will tned to concentrate on exploring and using the powerful features such as Layer, Masks, Filters, Blend Modes etc.  This course will help develop your knowledge and skill in all these areas. Each course will be subject to a maximum of 15 persons.

This course  is scheduled to run at two venues in Surrey:-
1. St Nicolas Pastoral Centre, St Nicolas Church, Church Road Bookham KT23 3PW at 10am on Wednesday mornings for 2hrs over 10 sessions , commencing September 29th 2010 and repeated on Jan 12th 2011.
